about

a catalogue for the books you own

Scan a barcode, type an ISBN or a title, and the book catalogues itself — title, author, translator, publisher, cover — in Greek and in every other language.

Your library lives on your phone and your computer, works with no signal, and stays the same across all of them. Browse it as covers, as a list, or as the shelves it actually stands on; find a book by any word in it; keep lists; see in Stats what the library is made of. A library can be shared with the people you live with, and each of them keeps their own record of what they have read.

a private test

vivliothiki is being tried by a small number of invited readers. Things will change, and some will break — when they do, or when something is missing, write to thodoris@georgakopoulos.org. What it keeps about you, and who can see it, is on the privacy page.

where the books come from

Book details and covers come from public catalogues, among them Open Library and Google Books, and from whatever you type in yourself — which always wins.
